What to Do with an Outdated Pool
There’s no shame in having an outdated pool. We can replaster your pool, retile the coping, add a deck, or redo the design from the ground up.
Want to add a fire fixture to spice up your nighttime swims? How about a tanning deck for the missus? Or maybe you wish there was a safer area for the kids to splash around in while the adults go for a dip? Whatever you envision for your ultimate pool party, we are willing to work with you to make it a reality.
What is Gunite?
Gunite is a sprayable cement mixture that is directly applied to a 3D rebar structure. Once applied, we use a special curing procedure that is proven to prevent cracking and leaks. Gunite is also more reliable for longer than traditional cement or vinyl pools.
Gunite pools are known for their durable and flexible designs. With 3D rebar modeling, Gunite can take on any shape you can think of and leave behind straight lines and neat edges with flowing curves. If you want to remodel your pool from the ground up, we suggest going with Gunite to customize your pool shape to your liking.
What is the Remodeling Process Like?
Major renovations are similar to building a pool from scratch. The old pool’s concrete and cement must be broken up and removed, and any rebar that cannot be repurposed must be replaced with new rebar. We’ll also repair any issues that were hidden behind plaster or tile.
If you’re adding any new additions to the pool, we must also create and attach the rebar cage to the existing or modified rebar structure of your pool so that we can spray the gunite onto it. Wood planks are used to outline a new addition. These can be things like a spa or pool extension.
Erosion Control
JR Pool Plastering & Texas Gunite is an expert in discovering signs of erosion on previous pool installations. If your pool is already suffering the effects of long-term erosion, our experts will lay out a plan to restore and prevent the future erosion of your refurbished pool.
Pool erosion is a leading cause of pollution. Chemical runoff, sediment erosion, and other factors can have devasting effects on the natural environment over time. This is why we take extra steps to prevent an ecological impact on the beautiful environment of Texas at our company.
Sugar Land, TX Pool Plaster Repair
Even if your pool’s foundation isn’t cracking, our company can provide a convenient facelift for any pool that has started to lag behind in terms of aesthetic relevance, aka outdated pools. The most common and simplest facelift is through replastering your pool.
“Plaster” is the surface between the pool’s outer shell and the water. This protects the chemicals in the water from damaging the shell and the surrounding dirt. Of course, plaster isn’t immune to pool chemicals either, so eventually, you’ll start feeling rough patches. When that happens, you want to resurface your pool for safety and aesthetic reasons.
We also have many innovative improvements to pools that people don’t often think of. Why settle for a liner that gets slimy easily when you can use something like a pebble-tec that not only looks great but will keep you from falling down the steps of your pool? Don’t bust your butt; tell us any small problems you have with your pool, and we’ll no doubt have a solution in mind for you.
Your imagination and our talent will truly provide you with a wonderful new overhaul for your pool. It will no doubt catch the attention of your neighbors, who will be impressed. Be a pool owner that the entire neighborhood talks about!
Where are We Located?
We operate two locations in the Greater Houston area to help provide you with optimal service. Please schedule an appointment or call us today so that we can begin planning your pool’s repair, refurbishment, remodel, and reinvigoration.
For obvious reasons, we cannot provide an estimate without seeing your existing pool. However, we will need to wait for our first discussion with you about what you’d like to see changed during the remodeling process.
However, we can give you a general timeframe for certain aspects of the remodeling process. First, once the rebar has been molded and shaped to the correct 3D position to begin applying the Gunite, the high-pressured sprayable cement can be applied to the entire structure in only a few hours. After that, the cement is smoothed and shaped, and the curing process will last a few days.
Once the curing process is complete, you may begin filling your new pool. When you need Sugar Land, TX pool plaster repair, call JR Pool Platering & Texas Gunite!
